Today was good! It was the last day of Bible Study Fellowship and the first time I got to experience the after study fellowship. I’m soooooooo glad I didn’t know what I was missing because it would have just made me sick all year when I wasn’t able to go. It is amazing to me how God can knit together a group of people that truly have no common ground except Jesus and give them a love and gratitude for each other. AMAZING! I really encourage those of you who have the opportunity to check out your area and see if they have a program. We have ladies that come to our group that drive over an hour one way to get there !!! soooooo you know it’s good stuff– if you aren’t sure what it is I’d love to answer your questions….
Anyway, I also got to hear a bit more about my brother Heath. In two weeks he ate over 6000 calories a day and still lost 20 pounds (it sounds nice but I don’t think the weight loss plan would make the best seller list). At one point in the selection process his team was required to CARRY a jeep three miles!!!!! can you imagine??? The last drill they trekked 30 miles in a day. He said his blisters were so bad due to his feet getting wet he limped the last 20 miles in 10 hours. As soon as the soldiers got back they whisked everyone off for physical examines and I guess assume they’ll all heal! Finishing 7th out of 300 men, he is now officially a Delta 18 (this is a green beret in medic training.) After six months of Arabic language school, he’ll begin his medical education. Yes I’m pretty proud of him– I keep praying that God will keep his heart, mind, and body safe! Thanks for letting me share–
OK- so kid moment of the day– Look where I found Monica?!?!?– I’m not sure how she got the tennis shoes up there…
